“hair infested beds”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

When my friend and I checked in to the hotel( at 406 pm) for 3 nights the staff (Ms. Pat) was fantastic! She was willing to accommodate us in any way that she could. We got a King sized smoking room on the second floor. When we walked in we saw it was a little outdated but weren't worried. We went out and experienced Gatlinburg and ate dinner only to return to our room (at 830) and put on our pjs and pull back the covers on the bed and discovered there was hair EVERYWHERE. Pillows, comforter, blanket and sheets. We started immediately calling and walking around to the other hotels nearby trying to find a room. We finally found one and returned to the LeConte View and confronted the staff about our situation. We told them that we didn't feel comfortable staying at their hotel anymore and wanted our money back. They proceeded to tell us that if we would have immediately returned to the front desk and presented our problem we could have been refunded for all 3 nights. Instead, we only got refunded for 2! I was not aware that when checking in to a hotel and taking all of your luggage to your room, that you were supposed to inspect for problems. However, we do have to say that Pat, at the front desk, offered to change the sheets and clean the room for us. We told her we appreciated it, but we were not comfortable staying in that room. The kind person she was, she proceeded to tell us she would change the sheets and clean our room upon returning the key, but we kindly thanked her for her generosity and kindness and moved on to another hotel.

My family loves being on the "strip" in Gatlinburg, so we expect that the hotels will be older. We anticipated that, but old doesn't mean it has to be dirty. This is the worst we've been in...really old, dirty bathroom, and poor service. The man at the front desk was not helpful, unlike others at other locations (Reagan Resorts).
The toilet stopped up and overflowed. Because it was the holiday, there was no emergency crew. Basically, we were in sewage water for 24 hours. We were given towels to put on the floor!! Loved Gatlinburg as usual, disappointed with LeConte View.

We stayed here for one night because, there were no rooms available at the hotel we had booked for the rest of our stay. I read the reviews and looked at photos from TripAdvisor on this place and was honsetly a bit scared!!! WE were fully aware that this was a bit out-dated, but decided to give it a try. I must say that we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of our room. We payed an additional $30 or so to be assured it was an inside entry room that was a bit bigger than others. The room had a slight "old" smell, but that is to be expected. The sheets were clean and smelled to be so as well. The bathroom and extra vanity were very clean. Overall, it was an ok place to stay....certainly not a top pick. I hate to sound as though we think we are above staying at a place as this, but we are accustomed to the newer accomodations in Gatlinburg. I would advise anyone reading this to feel ok with the decision of staying here! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I'm quite thankful to see older establishments still operating in this fun city!

We booked three nights for new year's at $145 per night for the location but the motel itself was a little lacking. We usually stay at Glenstone but it was booked. We checked out promptly the next morning after the first night's stay. At least the staff at front desk was friendly. Very noisy with doors slamming shut all night and conversation (cursing) overheard from other balconies while trying to sleep. No privacy whatsoever and very outdated room with a poor view overlooking trash filled dumpsters. Pool area looked scary. The photos explain everything.

We had a nice weekend. Rooms were nice. Great location. Service is very good. Walking distance to everything on parkway. I've stayed here before and will be back there soon. Also have a heated pool and sauna. Close to the peddler steak house. My favorite place!

We stayed here October 19 and 20. The location is perfect! The hotel is very old. We were in the tower on 4th floor and the views were awesome! We had a gas fireplace, private balcony and the room was large. We had a lot of space in the room. Also a flat screen TV. The room has a small fridge and microwave. Our room seemed very clean but the bathroom needs work. The wall next to the tub is torn up and water was seeping through the hole in the wall to the floor when we took a shower. The bed was very comfortable. They have a nice continental breakfast. Nothing to brag about but it's okay. The people are friendly. We use to stay there many years ago and then started staying in cabins and hotels in Pigeon Forge. We were so glad we didn't have to do much driving this weeked due to the horrible traffic. We only drove to Pigeon Forge on Saturday. We will for sure stay at LeConte again. If you don't mind an old place, this hotel is perfect. There are so many restaurants and shopping you can walk to within five minutes. We had a great weekend and LeConte View helped to make that happen!

Room Tip: Ask for the tower or high rise area. We were on 4th floor in the high rise or tower and enjoyed it...
