“Loved It!”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

We just got back from a stay in Unit 306. We loved it! The entire building was so clean and quiet, even the balcony was spotless. It was great to escape from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg here. Bathrooms were nicer than we have at home. Kitchen was well stocked with the essentials. Decor was modern but rustic. Beds were comfy. Added security of needing a hotel key to operate the elevator coming upstairs from the parking area. Staff was very courteous. Walked into town every day at least once or twice.

We stayed here for a week in July 12. Stayed in #206 for two nights and #502 for 5 nights as we extended our stay after initial booking. 206 is in the better condition, all furnishings clean and very new looking, holds up to 6 guests. 2 double beds in bedroom 2 and king in master all beds comfortable, great view of pool and some mountains. Everything worked and new flat screen Tv's in each room. 502 takes 10 guests and is thus more obviously 'used' with some small damage to carpets, furnishings and towel rails. Older style Tvs. Good views of pool and trees and some mountain views.
In bedroom spa baths are large and good for relaxining in. Same noise issue from air conditioning and when asked staff told us this was normal. Other noise in 502 is a stream/creek right next to the condo, that runs quickly, especially when raining - really pretty but noisy if you prefer silence at night.
All bed linens are good quality and clean. Towels rather small, basic and well used but clean and plentiful.Reception staff were helpful when asked but didn't go the extra mile and volunteer assistance as in some places we stayed which adds more to the experience.
Only real negative is that the air conditioning unit is in bedroom 2 and is very noisy when it runs during the night - if you're used to this it won't be a problem I guess.
Washing machine and dryer worked really well so no need to bring too much luggage.

Pool and spa hours10am to 10pm towels provided, pool a bit on the smal side given the number of families that stay here and teenagers a bit rowdy when unsuprvised - no staff to exercise any control so this detracted a bit from adult use of the pool area.
Free on site parking, some covered some open.
Pictures of the condo's make it look as if there is space around it - there isn't it's right next to other older motels and some private or rental housing. Staying pool side this wasn't a problem but I guess there was more traffic - people and cars on the mountain view side where the closest motel pools are situated.
Gatlinburg centre is a slow 10 minute stroll away or a more speedy 6 minutes for the energetic. Nice walk from condos. Lots to do for families in town and a few miles away. Not really a place for romance, more family focused area. Guess with all the attractions and gift shops it will be expensive with children! unless you go up into the mountains to walk, which is fantastic. Whole range of food outlets and prices.

Room Tip: If smaller number in party book a condo that only takes smaller numbers - likely to be in a bit bet...

Stayed in #406. Clean, spacious, well stocked and decorated. Perfect for my family of 4. Trolley stop at the front of the condo or an easy walk to the village and a great view of the pool. I can't imagine a better condo complex or value in Gatlinburg. Covered free parking a plus as the streets are very busy in the summer.

Exceptionally clean and quiet. The 2 most important qualities I look for in a place to stay on vacation. Covered parking, well maintained grounds and not to far off the main drag. Key card is necessary to enter the elevator from the parking area, and the lobby is locked up at night. Nice added bit of security. Will definitely return here on our next trip to Gatlinburg.

We have stayed at Mountain Vista for the past several years! The property is always clean and the location to downtown is great. Girls at the front desk are awesome. The condos are very roomy and well stocked kitchen. Love the king size bed and jacuzzi tub...also washer and dryer in condo! We stayed in Condo 310 this year with our two boys and their families each renting condos.
Although they are a bit pricey and don't offer much in the way of discounts...we will stay again.

Room Tip: Don't get poolside if you want it quiet...pool closes at 10pm but people are in it longer!

The property and location are great. Spacious Condominiums and great amenities. Great place to stay; we will be back. The beds were amazing and the decorations were homey. The condo was stocked with just enough kitchen equipment that cooking meals for the group was easy. The location is great if you are in good shape you can walk to the strip and enjoy your day; otherwise, drive your car go across the strip and find parking on River Rd and enjoy your day. We also caught the trolley and few time back. The customer service is severely lacking. Upon check-in you are not given any tips on amenities offered or where/how to unload or that you will be lock out of the condos entirely once the office closes and the only entrance is through the parking garage elevators. Be sure to read the two books in your condo; this will provide plenty of information. However, the list of games is not updated. For our entire stay the staff was unfriendly and uninformative. Overall a great place to stay.

I travel often. Some for business and some, like this time, for pleasure with the family. We took a long weekend here and it seemed like the right features for the price that we were looking for. We were completely floored by the level of accommodations this place offers. Now, this is not a hotel, it is a rental condo, so if you want room service and spas, this probably wont due. For us, we needed a spacious, clean suite with room for 5 and we got that and more. The rooms are huge. We could have lived here comfortably. A nicely appointed modern kitchen, a large living room with fireplace and a masterfully large decked trimmed out in log cabin like timbers. The second bedroom had 2 twin beds with extremely comfortable beds and well made, quality linens and spreads. a nice TV and VCR and real dressers. The second bathroom was spotless and large. The master bedroom had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on and sheets that envelope you like clouds. A whirlpool tub in the master was really special, though a bit strange to bath in your bedroom. The master bathroom had a large glass and tile shower that makes you want to shower all morning. And, even though daily housekeeping is not a standard feature, a full size washer and drier made it unnecessary. The pool is small and you have to walk across the parking lot to get to it, but a trolley stops at the lobby regularly. The room was spotless. Cleaner than any place I have ever stayed. I felt at home and, for a town built on tiny roads and crowded together shops, this much space was a major luxury. I hope to bring my parents here in the summer with my family so they can relax and enjoy this home away from home in the Smoky Mountains.

Room Tip: If you are a smoker, get a room near the elevator or you will be walking a bit for those outdoor bre...
