One of the nicest cabins my husband & I have stayed at and we visit often! The cost was very reasonable which made it even better!! I was truly happy with the cabin and wanted to stay longer! The heat wasn't working at the time but luckily it wasn't too cold for November and we managed with a space heater that was provided in the cabin and we also kept a fire burning! Other than that it was an overall great cabin and I would definitely stay there again!!!!
This cabin was beautiful. Nestled in the woods and pretty secluded. Although the next cabin appeared to be pretty close as you drove in, we never heard a sound from it. I would not want to try and get to this cabin in the snow or ice however as it is on a steep include with a hairpin curve in the driveway and the next closest cabin at the bottom of this steep hill!
The cabin was clean and the bed was comfy. It was very convenient to town and a great little section of the arts and crafts community. The kitchen was stocked, but I don't know that I would say "well stocked". The main annoyance that there was no dish soap except two packets of powder for the dishwasher (and it was supposed to last 3 people for a 4 day stay.) We mainly ate out, so it wasn't a problem for us except not being able to hand wash a few dishes here and there. The pool table upstairs was one of the main reasons we picked this cabin and we had a blast with it. But it was in such a small space that you could hardly take any shots without hitting a wall or the ceiling. We are casual, non-competitive players, so it wasn't really that big a deal to us, but for serious players, it would have been extremely frustrating.
Overall, we had an excellent time. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the rocking chairs on the back porch. This was a pleasant surprise since the hot tub wasn't listed on the webpage. We didn't really watch tv at all, but the wi-if was consistent, but a little slow. We really enjoyed this beautiful cabin!!!
The day after we left, the wildfires hit really hard. From looking at the map, it appears "An Affair to Remember" should be fine. I am hoping and praying that this beautiful cabin is still standing strong, but my heart breaks for so many who lost everything. As of the writing of this review, I have read that 11 people lost their lives, many more still missing, hundreds of buildings gone and more than 17,000 acres of of these beautiful Smoky Mountains, ravaged by fire. We made some special memories here that will be cherished forever and I'm so thankful for that. Still praying for the heart of the Smokies and all the people who have been touched by this tragedy.
Overall it was nice and clean. The pool table was hard to use because some walls were close to the table and the TV in the bedroom wasn't working while we were there. They said the owner was getting a new box and they apologized. Also, the hot tub would only go up to 95 which was ok but we wished it would have been a little hotter. We liked the location and had an overall good stay. I would recommend not taking a big SUV or truck because it is kind of a sharp turn to get up to the cabin.
