Took this road at least two and sometimes four times per day while visiting TNP. There are two trailheads (Granite canyon and Dead man's) and the Laurence Rockefeller Center and trail that can be accessed on this beautiful drive. There is lots of wonderful sites to be seen here (animals, streams, flowers abound) but that also lends to people stopping and congesting the road at times and it is very narrow and winding and partially unpaved in sections, but cars easily manage. Be aware that they do close this road for maintenance (needed for to maintain the unpaved section and not posted until you pull up to the ranger station) and the drive through Jackson is a nightmare and takes up to an hour to drive through town back to Teton Village and after a day in the park, not fun! If you are staying in Teton Village and have reservations or timed activities up in the park, plan accordingly and travel time is about 1/2 hour and can be more if traffic stops for photo's. As expected traffic is heavier north bound in morning and south bound at end of day. Not sure why they allow bikes on this road but there are the quite a few so be aware that people coming in the opposite direction may be gazing off at the scenery or dodging bikes and just be courteous and cautious and enjoy the beautiful drive.
