I'm sure there are some things to do here, but really it's just a road lined with trees between the tetons and yellowstone

This is a very scenic piece of road. You will see how the fires back in the last 80's damaged so much of the park. Trees are still growing back. Much of the landscape was destoryed by the fires but it is coming back now.

This is an easy trip between Jackson Hole and Yellowstone National Parks. Beautiful ride, lots of pulloffs where you can admire incredible scenery, occasional wildlife sightings and take plenty of pictures. There is also access to the Snake River for flyfishing very close by. We are currently planning our 4th trip to the area this September, it just doesn't get old! Even after 3 visits there is still so much we haven't seen and things we can't wait to see again!. September is gorgeous, 70 degree days and 30 degree nights so take a coat! Note - there are no fees on this road until entering one of the National Parks.

The Rockefeller Memorial Parkway connects the southern entrance of Yellowstone with Grand Teton National Park, so if you're planning to visit both parks, you'll be driving on it. It is a beautiful drive, with a lot of great views and the chance to see wildlife. I saw mule deer and many birds. Plan to take a little extra time to stop at pull-outs along the way.
