The choices are great and we enjoyed every breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner.
Eating in the dining room is a "Wow" experience all the way around.

I loved this place. It is very unique, quiet and elegant with walls painted in native art and linen table coverings. The wait-staff was very efficient and friendly. The food was simply delicious! Well worth the beautiful 15 mile trip north of Grand Marais! Next trip I would love to stay here a couple nights. Everything was classy but you do not have to be dressed up (it IS the north woods after all.)

We stopped in for an afternoon tea time. It was a wonderful break after a busy day of sightseeing! We enjoyed the sunroom, that is like one big livingroom area, with windows that look off to Lake Superior. Additional windows also show the beautiful adjoining diningroom. Our group of 4 was seated comfortably on a couch, & two chairs, with a coffee table. The service was very pleasant. They brought a dolie covering for the coffee table, and a tea tray was brought out to our table. We were served a nice variety of food for tea time. This included chicken finger sandwich, cucumber sandwich, scone, strawberry, a chocolate swirl cream cheese cake, and chocolate shortbread cookie. We enjoyed the tea very much! The lodge decor and furnishings are beautiful! We enjoyed walking through the diningroom with the beautiful ceiling paintings, and large stone fireplace. We also enjoyed the grounds right on Lake Superior. Would definately come back!

We were traveling from Duluth to Thunder Bay and found this delightful spot for lunch. The interior is amazing and something that you must see. It sits right on Lake Superior and has a spectacular view. No liquor is served, however, I very much enjoyed the fresh made lemonade. I had a bowl of French Onion soup and the Brulee burger. Both were delicious. I could not finish the burger and the homemade chips I was so full. Service is not quick but very friendly & attentive. This is a great place to make a stop and relax for a few minutes before continuing on your journey.

Had the walleye sandwich- good, but overpriced. However, I would eat the tongue out of an old boot to do it in this incredible dining room! A major disappointment was no wine list- maybe that was why there was such a small crowd. I believe that this place is owned and operated by some serious Christian folks, but come on, even Jesus turned water into wine!
