We stopped for breakfast & worried when the place was empty, but to our happy surprise our breakfast was wonderful! It was a little late for breakfast, we were handed a lunch menu, but asked if we could have breakfast & the chef cooked it for us! The omelet was quite large & STUFFED with great sausage & cheese & one of the very best we've eaten! We even asked the brand of sausage - it was that good! We sat overlooking the lake & noticed they had lots of deck seating in warmer weather with a huge grill for bar-b-q. They do own two German Shephards which were kept outside & when I walked out to take pictures of the lake and cabin, they were very friendly dogs. The place had a "rustic" decor & was not unclean (as someone described in another review). Perhaps, that review was done some time ago. The main dining room was very large & they had a nice bar area. I would definitely stop here while on the Gunflint trail!
