“Very good food and might be best off-season option.”
Reviewed October 27, 2011

My wife and I had dinner here in November while staying in Grand Marais. Your dining options are limited in the off-season, so I think this is your best bet in that case. The decor was good, we both loved our food, and the service was great. It is a bit of a haul from Grand Marais, but well worth it.

“Pleasant and comfortable vacation spot with many options.”
Reviewed August 8, 2011

Our cottage was clean and comfortable with all the amenities for a relaxing and pleasant long weekend. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. The resort is dog and family family.

“Nice place so-so food.”
Reviewed July 20, 2011

The food was okay but nothing special for the price. The staff was nice and helpful. They did have well priced and fairly good wines by the glass and the beer list was better than you would expect. It does have a nice atmosphere, especially if it is nice enough to sit outside. The music on the weekends was enjoyable.

“GOOD ATMOSPHERE AND GOOD FOOD”
Reviewed October 14, 2010

We were up there in the fall of this year 2010 and were very disappointed. We were there 2 days in a row and both days the waitresses were not very friendly and were somewhat rude. When you are going out to dinner and spending the money they are asking, I would think you would be able to get it the way you want it. This one waitress especially on the first day we were there was not accomodating at all and it almost seemed like she didn't want to deal with us. We thought the atmosphere was good and actually the food is pretty good but the service was awful. I had broiled shrimp and I was quite satisfied with it. I just think these waitresses there need to be a little more friendly and not act like you are nothing but a burden to them.

“Great view down the lake - typical resort food/bar”
Reviewed August 12, 2010

We come here often, primarily for convenince. The food is nothing special (I do like their burgers!) , but the little bar is great and the Sudnay afternoon live music is a blast in the summer. In the winter, there will be more snowmobiles than cars in the lot (state trail runs right by) - a sign that good hearty food is popular here. Great local charm and entirely satisfying food/drink.

The veiw down the lake at sunset is amazing and worth the drive from town (or further)
