Looked like a great place to start a backpacking trip on the Lake Superior trail. There are a lot of stairs to reach the better waterfalls and the extra effort is worth the fantastic views. The last falls are interesting because they split into 2 and you cannot see where one exits the cavern it falls into.

Really nice park... lots of stairs to climb but well worth it to see the Devil's Kettle. Close to Grand Marais so definitely try to get there if you can.

There are some really great hiking trails here, including ones that lead you directly to a beautiful (and mysterious) waterfall. Only problem: you have to pay to use the trails.

I had been warned that the hike to Devil's Kettle would be challenging-it is mostly a walk up a smooth incline. And, then, stairs down 750 feet. It was well visited, and smelled great. As it was the last hike before a long drive home, our kids (ages 8, 10, and 13) were less than enthused. Would still recommend. Would return.
