Again we enjoyed our annual Memorial Day trip to Loon Lake, we gathered with family and friends, Tom directed us to a great hiking spot. We ate well, slept well on nice queen size bed. The bathrooms have been remodeled , as many of the kitchens have.and you can't pass up the Swedish pancakes for breakfast!

My husband & I just returned from our annual spring fishing & relaxation trip to Loon Lake Lodge. Visiting with Tom & Terry Caldwell (the lodge owners) is always a pleasure. Both are delightful people and always available to help you with anything from getting more towels, to launching your boat.
We usually stay in one of the rustic log cabins along the lake shore, but this year we got to experience the more modern "Shack". This cabin has a stunning view of Loon Lake; a warm and inviting kitchen; a living room with fireplace; and two bedrooms with king sized beds. There is a fire pit and picnic table,(just outside our cabin), with a beautiful view of the lake.
Our 21 year old granddaughters drove 175 miles to join us for two days. We were so excited to show them the resort and take them fishing. Both girls caught fish, (2 seven pound lake trout and one 32" northern), which was a first time experience for both of them. They enjoyed their visit so much, we are planning a reunion, (same time) next year at Loon Lake Lodge.
Also my two brothers, and their families, were staying at another nearby resort. One evening they came over to visit us (at the "Shack") and stayed to enjoy a bonfire with us. It was a fun and fantastic evening for all. They come over the next day, with their boats, and fished Loon Lake. They both left the lake with fish in their coolers. I wouldn't be surprised to see them at Loon Lake Lodge next year.
I would like to thank Tom & Terry for another wonderful vacation. They, and their helpers Ed & Ben, were so generous and kind. They also helped us launch our boat and clean our fish.

Kathy & Tom F.

I work in the tourism industry and often take a break and escape before the season begins! This year my break was spent at Loon Lake Lodge. It is everything that anyone in the industry should aspire to! Welcoming! Clean! King Beds! Roomy Bath and Kitchen! Large Firepit! View to Die For! We stayed in "The Shack" and spent time relaxing, birdwatching, enjoying the cozy warm cabin and fireplace, and of course, indulgent eating! There are so many more things to do that a return trip (trips) will be necessary! If you are looking for someplace that will fulfill ALL your needs including wallet, then this is the place to stay! Tom and Terry, thank you!!

Room Tip: I can recommend it all!

After a few trips and staying at a few different resorts along the trail a friend introduced us to Loon Lake Lodge. I am happy to say we have been going there for years. Tom and Terry treat you like family, the lodge is cozy, cabins are clean and it always feels like coming home. Every year it gets harder and harder to leave!

We have been going yo LLL for years. Always a good time spent with friends, old and new. Tom & Terry are very in tune to the needs of their guests. Very clean. The breakfasts and dinners are out of this world, would highly recommend them. great hiking, fishing , boating, or doing nothing at all!

Room Tip: each cabin is different, talk to Tom or Terry to figure out which cabin would be best for your needs...

After an unsuccessful, cold, wet hike on the adjacent border route trail we hiked down the crab lake trail to hopefully hitchhike back to our car. At the end of the trail we happened upon the Loon Lake Lodge. We were welcomed in to warm up by the fire even though we were sopping wet and offered a much needed cup of coffee. They then provided one of us with a ride back to the car while the other two warmed ourselves next to the fire with some excellent company and some tasty beers from the fridge in the lodge. The hospitality here just can't be beat! Thank you!
