In general I'm not a fan of what Marriott has done with the Courtyard brand, but this is one of the best Courtyards. Check in was short and pleasant. The room is very nice, with the only oddity being the poorly laid carpet which had waves in it. Furniture was very up to date and seemed new. Upgrading the towels, toilet paper, and soaps would go a long way as well, but it is managed as a three star facility rather than four star.
Our biggest complaint is with the very poorly trained service for the morning buffet. It took forever for someone to acknowledge that our table was theirs to service. And my wife got into an arguement with a woman behind the buffet who refused to check the ingrediants or let my wife check the package ingredients on the bread as we have a child with a severe dairy allergy. According to her, all bread is made is made with milk so there was no need to check. After another gentleman finally provided the packaging to check, it was just fine with no dairy. All ended well, but boy was she a mean lady.
The bar area/diner food is pricey but the service their was fantastic. Very well stocked and reasonable priced convience store on site as well.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper level room facing the pool and the mountains. Great view.

Stayed here as part of a tour, we got room 204. It overlooks the internal garden on the hotel property. The peep hole is located quite low on the door, first time I've ever stayed in a hotel with a low peep hole, good for short people.

The bedroom is very well-lit with a separate sink area (small counter) from the bathtub and toilet room. Usual bathroom amenities like soap, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer. The sink is quite low so you would be bent in half if you are a tall person. The water felt weird when washing like I can't get the suds off my hands even though there are no more suds.

Our room contained two double beds (not queen), there is a fridge, in-room coffee maker and a flat panel TV.

There is free Wi-Fi and several computers in the lobby with internet access. There is also free coffee/tea available in the lobby. The hot water in the thermos runs out towards the end of the day. The hotel restaurant only serves buffet breakfast in the mornings, no ordering a la cart.

The hotel is located minutes away from Glen Canyon Dam. There is also a Denny's down the road if you didn't want to eat in the hotel restaurant. Since we didn't have a car, we walked to Denny's and it was a scary walk as there are no sidewalks and you're literally walking on the side of what feels like a highway. Thankfully, there aren't too many cars. But bring a flashlight so that passing traffic can see you if you need to walk to/from Denny's for dinner in the dark.

We stayed for 1 night last week. The hotel is in a nice location and easy accesible.

Our room was very clean, bright and airy. It was well equipped and offered great views.

Breakfast was very good, but if you want an alternative there is a new Denny's just across the road.

We were travelling from Las Vegas to Monument Valley and this provided a great stopping off place.

We would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel's best selling factor is the view of the Dam. The staff was very helpful with updating us on weather and road conditions. There was winter weather, and a washed out highway 89 right after we came through. They were helpful in routing us back towards Flagstaff safely. They answered many questions responsively. Breakfast was uninspiring, but the location made it better than tolerable. :)

Room Tip: View of the Dam.

As an Marriott Elite member, I try to stay at their hotels. No one was at the registration desk and their was no coffee, newspaper, fruit, or cookies in the lobby. And NO BREAKFAST!!!! Since they were not busy I asked for a slight room upgrade which was declined. Feel sorry for those booking in a few weeks as the rates will be incresed by 30% and still no breakfast.

Of course I love the Marriott chain, especially Courtyard. I stay with them everywhere I go. This Courtyard did not disappoint with a lovely room, scenery and housekeeping. However, because it is the "off time" of year, it was difficult to even find personnel at the desk, the restaurant / bar was closed and even finding a cup of coffee (except the small cup in your room) was almost impossible. So, moral of the story? Stay during peak times or bring your own food, coffee and booze. Otherwise, the view was amazing!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and the place looked and felt dead, off season I suppose. We asked for a room with a good view and ended up looking at the interior of the hotel and a covered pool. We were there for business, so it was not all that important. I wonder if there were any rooms with a view. The bar was closed the whole time we were there and the restaurant seemed closed for dinner but open for breakfast. The self serve coffee bar was basic but not very nice for the quality of a Marriott and lacked some supplies on two mornings.
Also, had to call for shower soap and shampoo to be replenished. Not sure what they charge in peak season but the place seems lifeless and did not feature an in room dining option.
