I stayed at Travelodge, Page AZ, when I visited Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend.

Our room is clean and spacious with electric kettle, coffee, tea, refrigerator, and even microwave oven. Beds and pillows are comfortable.

What we like most during our stay in Travelodge was breakfast. Fresh bagel was gorgeous. Breads, cornflakes, juices, boiled egg were good quality.

I recommend this hotel for those of you who plan to visit Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell or Horseshoe Bend in AZ.

Stayed for a week, staff was friendly and they allow dogs. My 95 pound Doberman liked it! Had breakfast there every day I was there. Bagels, fruit, toast, french toast, cereal, and hard boiled eggs were the only selections.

I tried to budget for this 11 day road trip I’m on with my mom. I saw the negative reviews of this hotel, and saw some positive ones too. I know some people can blow things out of proportion, so I thought I would give it a chance. It couldn’t possibly be that bad, could it? YES. The answer is YES, it really could be that bad. WARNING!

Word to management: just blow the whole place up and start over. Jesus. It’s an old motel, that hasn’t been updated in a couple decades. I have no problem with that. I love old, charming properties where you can park in front of your door. Rustic is fine by me, as long as it’s clean.

We had been driving all morning and I needed to use the washroom. It was around 1pm, so we decided to drop by and see if early checkin was possible. Check in is at 3pm. I travel frequently, and usually this is not an impossible request. I am very easy going, and I do understand that if the room isn’t ready...then it’s not ready. I’m two hours early. The chick at the front desk was slumped over basically half asleep. She was a shorter Indian girl with bleach blonde streaks in her hair. Absolutely horrible customer service from this person. Zero hospitality, zero eye contact. She never even said hello or smiled. I have NEVER in my life had this poor of customer service at a hotel. We couldn’t check in early, which was fine. But it’s the way she went about it, without even looking at us. “Check in isn’t until 3” as she WALKED AWAY!

We came back around 5 and a nice gentleman checked us in. Props to this man who was friendly and gave great customer service. I didn’t catch his name...but that same worthless chick from earlier was half asleep on the couch in the lobby. Ummmmm, what’s going on here??

We check into our room and it appears fine. Old and tired, but it appeared clean. We went and had dinner, came back and went to sleep. I got up around 3am to use the bathroom, only to find about 5 cockroaches in the sink, 2 on floor and 2 in the tub. WTF. I couldn’t go back to sleep. I thought they were coming up the drains, but there’s a nasty rectangular piece of drywall hanging out of the ceiling. I’m assuming not only is there a mold issue, but the damn bugs are coming out of that nasty hole in the ceiling. It’s right over the shower head too...so you bet we got the hell outta dodge quickly!

I go to the front desk around 6:30am to check out and tell them about the roaches, and it’s that same chick from the day before. She doesn’t say hello when I walk in, and when I told her about the roaches, she said “oh. Ok” as she continues talking to her coworker. Fire this chick immediately! I’ll be contacting corporate ASAP as well. Do NOT stay at this hotel. I’m serious!

Not welcoming at reception. Pillowcases were dirty. Air conditioning was sporadic. Curtains didn’t fit the window so light in the room all night. The location was good, central for restaurants and shops. Room was dated and had hardly any plugs. My husband needs a breathing devise at night and there was no where to plug it in!
