If you have a half hour to spare in Page AZ, this overlook is very easy to get to and provides the best view of Glen Canyon Dam. It is on a "scenic drive" which is a small road to the west of Route 89 and is lined with new hotels to house the burgeoning population of tourists. Parking is free and right next to the overlook. The view to the south is much prettier, as it affords you the opportunity to see Glen Canyon the way it was before the dam - massive red cliffs lined with green foliage, with the Colorado River snaking through it.

Dam tours close if it is too windy, so we missed that. Enjoyed all the displays about the dam. Clean facilities.

It is easy to access and free. The parking lot is small.

You take few stairs to enjoy a good view in the damm and the river. The damm is really impressive
