Our guide, Melanie, is amazing! She was very knowledgable and shared a lot about the canyon and her culture. Also helped us taking many good pictures. Our tour starts at 11:15am and the light to the canyon was fantastic. We had a great time!
The canyon is breath taking... There is a lot of waiting for the groups ahead involved but that was expected. Dixie Ellie’s Lower A C Tour was ok, I felt there were other guides around providing more info than ours ... still pleased with the experience.
This truly was a one-of-a-kind experience! Our guide was amazing! Very knowledgeable, and took pictures of our family for us. We had a wonderful time :)
I cannot write enough good things about my experience. First, I enjoyed the Lower A.C. tour more than the Upper because we were not packed in like sardines due to the two-way traffic in a tight space; in Lower A.C. you go all the way through without having to turn back. Second, the scenery was just as spectacular, with so many great photography angles. Finally, my guide, Kevin, was outstanding, incorporating the history of the canyon's formation, its sacred aspect with respect to the Navajo Tribe, and some of their history and ways as well. I give this tour my strongest recommendation; if you find yourself in Page, put Lower Antelope Canyon and Dixie Ellis on your list.
Such a trip highlight! Everything abut this was easy and smooth and it operated like a well oiled machine. Would highly recommend!
If you go (and you really should) book only with Dixie Ellis, and request Melany as your guide! She is not only very informative and inviting, but she is a really great photographer as well. She knows all the best shots you should take, but can take photos of your group for you. Her pictures with my iPhone turned out way better than I could have hoped for on my own. She’s very knowledgeable on the iPhone’s settings and will guide you through how to adjust everything to get the same shots Nat Geo, Apple, and Microsoft all took in the canyon. If you have a DSLR or other type of camera, she’s more than capable of helping you too. I can’t say enough good things about her as a person, guide, or photographer. These photos were taken with just my iPhone 7. Imagine what she can do with an 11 pro!
