Owner description: Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

This half day of smooth water rafting was really special. The views were terrific and staff great, Reasonably priced. You can have them pack a lunch or bring your own snacks. They provide water.

We took the 7:30 am float trip. The beauty and serenity was breath taking. Several times during the trip our guide simply turned off the motor and one could just take in the quiet splendor all around us. The rafts are very safe and substantial. We were offered water as well as canned lemonade refreshment. There was a small break in the trip where we beached the rafts and strolled up to an area of "rock art"... Petroglyphs dating back centuries. A very safe and beautiful way to experience gods splendor.....

This was a beautiful float down the Colorado River from the Glen Canyon Dam through Horseshoe Bend, and then back up the river. It includes spectacular views of the Dam, 1000 ft high cliffs, ancient Native American Petroglyphs. And if you are fortunate enough to get Brent for your guide, you get to hear him play his Native American flute! If you are within a few hours drive of Page, this is a great trip to add to your vacation. We combined this tour with Hummer Adventures Secret Slot Canyons tour and had a great day!

If your looking for a smooth lazy introduction to the Colorado River, this is it. The beginner rafter and families with children a must see. Brent, our rafting guide is the man! Not only does he know the history of the river but he brings a personal view of his life on the river and plays the Kokopelli Hopi Indian Flute to give you a sense of what it was like hundreds of years ago! The trip takes about 4 hours with 15 people per raft. All in all a great trip to meet people from around the world and explore Glen Canyons great views, river history (petroglyph) and wild life (Condors so close you could almost touch them)!

Can’t say enough about our trip. Thanks Brent!!!!!

We had such a great time on the smoothwater raft trip at the beginning of May. What an amazing experience! It was the highlight of our Honeymoon round Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and California. The tour guide was very informative and friendly which made the tour even better. It was such a peaceful trip along the colorado river and we also met so interesting people on our raft. Would definitely recommend this if you are visiting.
