“Great find in Page!”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

We stayed in Page for a few nights recently whilst we explored the area. We opted for Debbie's Hide-A-Way due to it's favourable TripAdvisor reviews and as we were 2 couples it made sense to request a three bedroom suite.

Great location - close to amenities and the neighbourhood feels really safe too, very quiet and secluded.

Our appartment was just what we needed, with 3 bedrooms (2 queens and one twin), private bathroom, lounge area and kitchen. Laundry facilities are also available free of charge, as is the wi-fi (which is faster than many hotels!). It's a quaint little place, but the atmosphere was excellent - great guidance and maps too from the 'front desk', which were very helpful.

Price is also great, especially when compared to other hotels in the area. It was a little more difficult to book than standard hotels, as there is no direct online booking, and travelling from the UK it was a little more difficult to discuss payment details; however there were no problems.

I would definitely stay here again if in Page, and recommend to others too.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you while you explored our gorgeous country. As you discovered, our suites are only a three minute walk from the center of Page, yet peaceful and cozy. We have just installed another wifi router to ensure speed for our guests. We take pride in our intimate facility, as we have the time to share with our guests and guide them to the best spots for photos, tours, and info on the Lake and canyons. Again, THANK YOU Laura, the pleasure was ours meeting you and your family!

We were a bit thrown off by the photos. Not the cookie cutter hotels we were used to. Took a chance and loved it. Loved the nightly bonfires, met lots of people, great backyard to read and gaze at the random collection of backyard ornaments. Historical unit dating back to the glen canyon dam construction. 1950's decor. Great management, willing to bend over backwards to help. Dated furnishings but extremely clean. A great choice to get out of your box. We will be back to Debbie's!

We stayed for one night in early October: A one bedroom apartment with a fully equipped eat in kitchen and spacious living room. We were on a road trip enroute from the Grand Canyon to Bryce. This was absolutely perfect-a home away from home. We arrived late afternoon, went immediately to Safeway for the makings of dinner and breakfast (some wine too!). While cooking and relaxing outdoors in the funky, fun garden area (fire pit was lit), we met Debbie her husband Tony, their dog Buddy and Tom, the ever gracious manager. It was as if we knew them for years. Nothing was overlooked in the apartment; books, games and knickknacks gave a homey feel. Kitchen was fully equipped, including cooking oil spray and vinegar! The coffeemaker made delicious coffee which was also provided. Watched Monday night football on large screen TV. Oh, and did I tell you that it was bargain priced! Overall, a terrific stay.

Bonduzi, the pleasure was ours. When we travel, we look for the same things you found at Debbie’s. The home away from home, feeling is what we all want. It was a hoot to kick back with you and enjoy an evening under the stars. Please feel free to let your friends at Debbie's assist you in the future!

We stayed at "Debbies Hide a Way mid Sept., 2012. The "check in" desk is someones front porch, complete with dog tighted to the front post. (The dog was the nicest thing about this place. There were dirty ashtrays full of cigerette butts. The apts. are dirty, smell like cigerette smoke. The yard is dirt, with broken and dirty lawn chairs and grease incrusted grills. There is a chain line fence around these cinder block "apts" The bathroom towels were all different colors, but did not feel crisp and clean, and you couldn't tell by looking at them if they were clean. The bathroom was tiny. The soap was the liquid push type, and half the bottle was gone. The shampoo was a family size Walmart brand, also half used by previous "guests". Our apt. was $99 plus tax. I'm just grateful we did not get a "suite" which were priced at $137. The furniture was fabric covered with brown stains. The previous posts on this place does not reflect what it is really like. Page Az very few motels, so plan on reserving early, somewhere else!

We would never have found this motel if not for all the kind words people have said about Debbie's Hide a Way here in Trip Advisor, and therefore I feel the need to pay it forward for others to find this review. Again, when we first arrived, seeing the pink building, we were a bit taken aback, but once I met Tom who gave me the low down on what to do, as well as what the room entailed, I realized that for what we were paying we were getting a great deal.

It was exactly as some other posters have said; it's a bit like staying in someone's home. The books and board games in the living room, the fully stocked kitchen and the generously spacious bedrooms. With a very short walk to Safeway, we were able to pick up both dinner and breakfast supplies and then enjoy a nice home cooked meal in our "own" home!

We only were able to stay for one not, as this was a stopover on our road trip, but I could easily see this as a great place to stay for an extended length of time.

Wonderful!

Thank you, Northern Friends. We are in the process of a gentle remodel and we are trying to decide if our signature pink must go. We are the happiest building, with some of the happiest staff, welcoming always the best guests. Hundreds, if not thousands, have commented on our PINK buildings... maybe it is time to revert to the colors of our deserts and mountains.
As you found, your kitchen was just like home, allowing a wonderful dinner and breakfast. Please stop back by, say hello, and see what colors we decide to paint the place.

We loved the funky nature of the outside of this place. I'm not generally a lawn ornament kind of person but somehow it is done well here. There are outdoor grills and a fountain. You can see they put a lot of love into this place. Our accommodations were more of an apartment. Three bedrooms with four beds. The beds were reasonably comfortable and all was clean. Laundry use was free. I was on a month long trip with my mom and 2 teenage nieces. This place was a nice break from the average motels we stayed at. After all the hotel room air conditioners it was so wonderful to stay here with their central swamp cooler making it comfortable throughtout the rooms and the time. We were sorry to spend only one night.

Page, Az is expensive! Debbie's provides a reasonable price for the location, comfort, roominess and a nice kitchen. Yes, the cabinetry is mid-50s, but where else can you find a nice kitchen with all appliances? The living room was more modern with lots of room to stretch out and relax, however, some of the magazines dated back to 1979. If we had arrived earlier in the day, we would have used the full kitchen, but we were too tired. The bathroom was less than modern but still adequate. The bedroom again was so-so, but didn't hamper our sleep. The location is very close to major attractions in Page and the surrounding areas which also makes it beneficial. All in all, we would probably consider this location again.
