We rented a 59' houseboat for 4 nights from Antelope Point Marina. The boat was clean and in seemingly good condition. However over the course of our trip our boat's generator broke 7 times. It took an entire day to have a mechanic come out to inspect our boat, after stating everything was ok, he left, only for the generator to again break down just hours later. The next day we again requested for a mechanic to come out, but they were "unable to locate us", despite us giving exact GPS coordinates of our location!
In the end, the marina did credit us back some money for the inconvenience, however they were not quick to apologize, which was the most upsetting and unprofessional part of the whole mess. Again, luckily we enjoyed the scenery and our time together so much that the boat problems didn't completely ruin our time. It also helped that 3 of the 5 people in our party work or have worked with boats and were able to self repair the generator when needed, although it took quite a while every time it "malfunctioned".

Today we went to antilope point to rent a boat, or make a guided tour. We chose for the last one because we don't have much experience with boats. We asked at the counter of the restaurant if there where organised trips. They called a man and he explained there was a guided trip with little Miss magic. This boat could take us far into the canyon, because its not a very big boat. The next one was leaving in 2 hours, so we enjoyed of a very nice lunch at the floating restaurant. Afterwards they arranged a golffcart for us back to the parkinglot to pick up some extra stuff. David French was our captain, he told us a lot about the lake and the canyons. We where going into antelope canyon, this was really amazing, because the boat wasn't that big we could go far into the canyon. When we went back he stopped at a little beach where we could swim or hike for 30 minutes. It was very hot so we took a nice swim, the water was perfect! We really recommend this trip with little Miss magic! You can get your info at www.antelopepointoutfitters.com for two hours we paid 39,99 dollar and it was really worth the money!

This is my second time back at Antelope Point. It was as beautiful and exciting as usual. This time we had a few extra days to enjoy and explore the lake.Of course we had to take the water tour departing from Antelope Point. We decided on the 2 hour Antelope canyon and Island tour. What a awesome time we had surrounded in all that beauty with a vast amount of knowledge Capt. Steve had about the history of the lake.He was very professional yet so interesting and made the time on the tour fly by. I would recommend this tour to anyone!!

Captain David French took us through Antelope canyon today. They have a smaller boat, and go farther in to the canyon. One hour and two hour tours are offered. Two hours cost is $49.95, and the on hour tour is $39.95....a great value......
He took several photos of my husband and I in the canyon. Very good personality, and interesting....

Steve and his son Jack at Antelope Point Outfitter (http://antelopepointoutfitters.com/) are our hero. We were out at Lake Powell past May and we ran into an accident. If it wasn't for Steve and Jack we would have been stranded on the lake.

We had rented our gear from another company -- that review will be posted soon. Due to dangerous high wind our canoe capsized near the marina, but fortunately our family was pulled out of water onto the dock safely. But during the turmoil we lost our car keys and were stranded. Steve then saw us and offered to help even without our asking. On the other hand when my husband called our rental company to help us and get his canoe back, he simply refused! Due to the high wind Steve let us leave the rented equipment with him, gave my husband one of his shirts and he drove us back to our hotel which was about 15 miles away. The next day Steve and Jack found the canoe blown out to the middle of the lake over night. They pulled it out and personally delivered it to our rental company while we were trying to get our car key made at the dealer.

We wanted to express our gratitude in some way like taking them out to dinner or at least paying for gas, but his words were "absolutely not!" He said we can pay back by helping others in trouble. Isn't this guy incredible?

Next time we are out at Lake Powell, there is no question which company we will go with. If you want honest, safety conscious, experienced guide, I say don't look further and go with Steve at Antelope Point Outfitter. Their outfit is located in Antelope Point Marina in Lake Powell.
