We hiked the 2 miles to the rim relatively easy. Hesrt rate was up to strenuous exercise mode but was not out of breath. The hike down was harder on my artificial knees, and the hike back up is in some soft sand. Don't let the sight of the switchback trail discourage you from visiting this fabulous place.

worth the parking fee, worth the walk in hot, hot sun!
amazing view, beautiful scenery, watching folks in the boats/rafts below, it was a busy spot. If you were sacred of heights, there was fences & you can stand back & still great views.

Short Trail to just a "world class view".--
Pros: A must do---SPECTACULAR VIEW
Not too far, just a nice walk
Hundreds of people----most speaking foreign languages--all over the world
Cons: HOT...I suggest an umbrella for the sun
Sand....hiking shoes nice, but not required
JUST DO THIS TRAIL.......NOT TO BE MISSED

This was a must see on our page trip. While the bend is beautiful be prepared for about a 1.5 mile steep hike with some slippery surfaces. You’ll also need to pay to get into the parking area so bring cash!
