We are totally disappointed for the photographer tour because we have called 2 days before our arrive in Antelope Canyon and the man with who we talked said us for sure that we would have the photographer tour at 11 AM for 6 people. It did not happen!
In fact when we arrived in Antelope Canyon yesterday half an hour before 11, there was a reservation just for only 1 person and the indian girl who worked there was very rude with us. I called the office to say that we had the reservation for 6 people but the girl who answered us that the day before it rained and so we could just book the normal tour at 2 pm. We were very angry and the tour was not very good because of too many people inside the canyon and no space and time to take pictures or breathe.
I would like to know why it is necessary to have a reservation if the reservation is not respected.

Phoned twice to try to get information on photo tours and no reply. Emailed request through their website asking to book one of the tours advertised on their website. No reply. Turned up at their location to try to book one of the tours advertised on the site instead and was told they only do photo tours once a day. By the time I had queued for tickets I had missed the trip!! Woman serving everybody was more interested in her phone than serving people. I finally got an email reply to my website request 7 days after the date I had requested the trip for!! It told me my trip for the week before was confirmed. Shocking service and would never use again or recommend to anyone who is thinking of using them. Use one of the other services a bit further down the road rather than this one that doesn't care about their customers.

Expect the canyon to be busy and the tour to be at a fast pace. This still makes the tour a hugely worthwhile and fascinating experience. Josh was our guide who was outstanding.

We had visited Lower Antelope Canyon the day before and was told to book our tour ahead of time at the park entrance due to the fact that there are so many people and it is a busy time of year. We booked our tour that afternoon for the next morning at 8:45 AM. You have to pay a $6 pp park entrance fee and then $25 pp tour fee (cash preferred). Our tour guide was Aldean and he was a very nice guy explaining a little bit about the canyon history, his family history, etc. We were in a large 4x4 vehicle with about 10 other people. Because we were one of the first tours into the canyon, it was not packed BUT we didn't get as great of pictures as we got in Lower because it was really dark for 1/2 the tiime. Also on our way out of the canyon it started to get really packed and the herding began....definitely wasn't pleasant and it wasn't something we had experienced at Lower. Overall, glad we did it, but we definitly preferred Lower due to the crowds and better pictures. I don't think this is necessarily a function of Navajo Tours, just that it is what it is--every tour company is out for themselves, and instead of working together to better the traffic pattern, they instead choose to ignore it because people come anyway!

We arrived at 12:45 pm and were able to get on 1 pm tour without prior booking. $25/ person did not seem much for experiencing the beauty of the canyon! It took about 15 minutes ride in a deep sand to get to the canyon (be smart and get on the truck early - if you are in back, you may get a lot of sand blown into your face). Our tour guide, Lance, was absolutely great and I can only recommend him (especially after we overheard the other guides!!). He was very knowledgeable - knew important but also "fun facts" about the place, he showed us where to take the best pictures and remained calm and friendly when others were trying to push us forward (great people skills!). You have to be prepared that the canyon will be busy and there will be a lot of people passing by both directions.
