Took the 1030 AM one and a half hour tour around Antelope Island which included a view of Glen Canyon Dam and access to one of the side canyons. Sat on the top deck. Head sets are provided to intermittently give information in various languages about the Dam, Glen Canyon and the Navajo people. My 6 and 9 yr old grandchildren really enjoyed the tour. Just the right amount of tour time for them. Sat on the top deck. Need hats and sunscreen to protect against the very bright sun. The staff at the marina were very organized and professional. Did have to walk back up the steep hill after the tour. They have golf carts to transport people who can't make that strenous but short hike back up to the resort. Enjoyed the wonderful gift shop at the Lake Powell Resort and a wonderful lunch afterwards in the Rainbow Room with a fantastic view of the Lake. Afterwards changed into bathing suits in the restrooms near the Wahweap swim beach. Walked the 3/4 mile down the hill to the swim beach. Kids really enjoyed the water. It was a windy day. The breezes starting kicking up the sand. Did not enjoy walking back up the hill to the parking lot. The scenery fabulous. Blue skies, red rocks, blue lake water.
