I have done the river float trip now three times. That should give you a clue how much we love this place. Veiws are outstanding. Do the morning trip as it can get hot in summer. Book Monthes ahead as they sell fill up quick on these tours.

All we wanted to do was see Lake Powell. We paid our $15 to get in but there was really nothing there. Absolutely a great resource for the people of Page. They love the lake and the boating and the accessibility. We found out later we would have had a better view of the Lake from the scenic lookout, particularly at Sunset.

Page Arizona is a small town in the AZ/UT border on the east end of the Grand Canyon. Lake Powell is the biggest attraction there--pristine with lots of water activities. GREAT location for avid photographers.

I would recommend everyone to take the car and make the scenic drive on sunset time, which allows you to stop at the many viewpoints over the Lake Powell, the scenic drive starts after you enter the Glen Canyon Dam bridge, just go straight.

The scenery here is overwhelmingly beautiful. Once you get over the feeling that you should be sad this lovely canyon was flooded just to give us water (and, as it ended up, a place to play), you may just end up being glad that it was. Definitely, at least, take one of the boat tours into the canyons.
