“A real surprise”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

Though the buildings are not very inspirational the scenery certainly is! The reception, shop and restaurant were of a top quality and the rooms were basic but functional.
The service was excellent at the reception and in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was of a very good quality and the portions more European in size. Breakfast was good too. You can eat in the bar but we did not do that.
The boat trip was really Worth taking especially the 2 1/2 hour one.

All in all well worth a visit.

We were a beat intimidated from the bad reviews this place got on TA
We spent 2 nights in suite with a lake view
The suite is spacious.
The bathrooms a dated
But the view is breathtaking
And we felt happy with our choice
They have 2 pools which we used
A beat off town but not a problem with a car
Good breakfast in a beautiful view dining room
Price very reasonable

The lakeview rooms are not a lot more expensive than the others, but a LOT better. Every one of them has a patio with lake view. The beds are pretty, rooms are clean, you can have connecting rooms. The local lounge is great for eating, the gift shop is nice, the pool area is nice to hang out. Overall very pleasant stay, although there is not much to do other than taking a boat tour on the lake. It is great for family vacation, especially if you have rented a house boat for a minimum of 4 days.

Room Tip: ask for those facing the lake

We stayed at the hotel for two nights to see Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon etc. As far as I could see it is the only hotel located directly at the lake (several miles from Page at Seashore Drive). The room was nice, clean, spacious and had a small porch. The location offers great views on the lake and the surrounding scenery - stunning. I rarely give five points, but this is a very well maintained hotel in a unique location, a very special atmosphere. If I ever go to Page again I will definitely return. The only thing I would critizise is the upgrade charge of 30 USD plus Tax per night for a room with lake view in a quite empty hotel in March.

We had a great experience at Lake Powell Resort. We were there during the off season, but knew that coming in. The buildings are older, but our room seemed to be recently updated/remodeled. We did have a problem with the pull out sofa in our first room and they immediately corrected it by switching us too another equally great room.

Starbucks coffee in the rooms, which we loved. They also served Starbucks at the the little coffee bar/grab and go.

We wish we would have had more time to get a boat and explore the lake. We did spend a little time down by the lake and the kids played in the sand.

Only one part of the restaurant was open, but the food was good.

The resort is close to Page and it was easy for us to go into town, tour the dam, etc.

Little bit difficult to write about this resort as we came in low season. Arrived by the night, we just spent some time in the lobby and enjoyed the comfortable bed. Extremelly cold in the rooms, but they have a heaters. Anyway, great views at the morning and convenient location.

We paid a bargain price for a scenic view room as it was off peak season. The receptionist was helpful but forgot to mention that breakfast is not complimentary.

Our room was large and clean. The toilet used reclaimed water and there was a recycle bin separating plastic from paper, etc. Very environmentally friendly. We did feel itchy after taking a shower. I am not sure it was a coincidence or if we were just allergic to the soap.

This is a well located hotel. There is not much activity in Lake Powell in winter. Not many boat trips but if you speak to reception, they are very good at recommending what to do.
