This was a fairly large KOA only a few miles outside of glacier National Park. We were disappointed in Glacier National Park, but if you are visiting the park this campground is convieniently located. Restrooms were clean, and they serve both breakfast and dinner. Their dinners were reasonably priced and good.

Campsites were fairly well spaced, although there was a lot of in and out traffic.

My sister and her two kids stayed in a 1-room Kabin for one night and had a great time! The cabin had bunk beds and a full-size bed, all with plastic matresses that were pretty firm but reasonably comfortable under our sleeping bags. With both windows open the temperature progressed from tolerable to excellent, speaking as someone who likes cool sleeping conditions. The picnic table and fire pit in front were great, as were the nearby water spigots- very handy!
The amenities are what make a stay at this KOA worth the money, however. The pool and hot tubs were in good shape and seemed well taken care of, as did the whole property. The breakfast was tasty, if a little overpriced, and the bathrooms were just as they look in the picture. The playground was big and nice, and the slideshow presentation was really cool from afar, even without hearing what the guy was saying. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed an entire week here in mid June 2010. A very nice and clean campground. We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast provided (for a fee) at the campground was Great, nice way to start your morning. If you are looking for a remote, campground this is not your place but was perfect for a large camper. Nice to have internet access to check on road/trail status!
If you are planning to visit the east side of the park and the Going to the Sun Road is not open you may not want to have this be your base camp for your entire trip. There was a lot to see on the east side of the park and It is a long drive around.

My family and I have stayed here before and loved it so we chose to stay here again this year. The weather was beautiful but a 30 minute downpour our last night turned our tentsite into a river and flooded our tent. I'm talking about 2 inches of water surrounding our tent and extending for 10 feet in front of it. Also a large group rented the cabins across from us and were VERY loud. The management either didn't care to enforce quiet hours or were unable to control this group of 30+ teenagers and their chaperones. What had started as a peaceful, beautiful vacation ended with some disappointment for us. I would still stay here as the campground and it's facilities are excellent. I find it frustrating that they would continue to rent a tentsite to families that is known to flood like that(campsite 101). Overall a nice place to stay and close to the park but we were very unlucky this time in our campsite assignment. They should NOT be renting that site to people.

We returned a few weeks ago from Glacier and spent a total of 5 nights in one of the W. Glacier KOA Kamping Kabins - a great alternative to camping. My husband was very leary of staying in a KOA but we were all pleasantly surprised.

The cabins are small - just a double bed and bunk bed, shelf, bench and some hooks - approximately 12 X 14 (sleeps 4). You can also get a two room cabin that sleeps 8 but none were available. They have a front porch with swing, fire ring, picnic table and some benches. You bring your own bedding. However, the cabin had heat, electricity and was very clean. The mattresses are 5 inch foam so we put our thermarest mattresses over the top and were very comfortable - without the pads I think we would have lasted only 1 or 2 nights! We highly recommend Thermarest pads!

The public restrooms and showers were very clean (our teenage girls were thrilled after staying in National Parks where the bathrooms are iffy). A small pool and two hot tubs on site. A small store with basics, laundromat, game room, outdoor restaurant that served breakfast and dinner and an ice cream shop. Staff was always very helpful.

They had beautiful flowers everywhere. The cabins are close together but the area is very wooded and in a beautiful setting. They also have a large RV park and very nice tent camping sites. They had a ranger/wildlife talk every night.

The best part was the price - $50.00 a night with their value card and 2 miles to the park entrance. Later in the week we stayed at a more expensive resort in Whitefish but we actually preferred the KOA and returned for our last night. We LOVED this place and will return again!
