“Great Location....Sub-par Restrooms”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

Great location for anyone visiting Glacier National Park. Well kept and close to the western entrance to Glacier, in an attractive forested area. We opted for a Patio RV site, at $89 the best of four levels for our three night stay.

When we arrived we noticed that the site hadn't been cleaned. The manager immediately sent over staff who swept, cleaned the BBQ and put up the umbrella. Things are pretty quiet in the Patio site area. Not so much in the Super Sites section which because of it's large grassy area attracts more families and partiers.

The biggest letdown was the restroom/shower rooms...crowded...quite antiquated. Serve both RV and tent campers. Someone at a sink could glance up at the mirror and see your face as you showered. An employee mentioned that the problem are being addressed in the new addition.

All-in-all our experience was positive. It was a great alternative to the crowded, dusty and noisy National Park campgrounds, which also for the most part aren't reservable.

Room Tip: Row two in the Patio sites if you're in an RV.

Clean, friendly, great service, and conveniently located in West Glacier off the road. Ron and team did a great job. Dinners were welcome after a long day. I enjoyed my stay very much and recommend it highly!!!

Everything was perfect.
Great location set well back off Highway 2, no noise. Yet only minutes from Glacier Park entrance.
Beautiful manicured grounds. Friendly staff.
Swimming pool, playground, cabins, tents, big pull throughs, serves breakfast and dinner.
Would definitely recommend this campground.

This KOA is set back on a side road off Highway 2 in West Glacier. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and all the buildings are artfully arranged.

There are several types of cabins, from the basic to the elaborate. There are tents sites and a multitude of sites for all your RV needs.

The staff are very helpful with all our questions and needs. We were pleasantly surprised to find better mattresses in the basic cabin than our last KOA. We believe that the mattresses were memory foam and we slept like babies.

The bathrooms were more adequate at this KOA then our last and we had no issues with standing in line for use.

They also have a "grub" shack that serves breakfast and dinners as well as an ice cream building that serves after 6 PM. There is a play area for the kids and a swimming pool as well.

I would recommend this KOA facility to those traveling to Glacier National Park or this area of Montana.

This is the nicest KOA we have stayed at.

The location is a huge plus, it is just outside Glacier National Park, but feels secluded from the traffic on the main hwy.

The KOA staff was very friendly and we felt appreciated as guests. This KOA has an ICE Cream store in the evening, and also an outside area where they will serve you breakfast and supper for a small additional price.

We stayed in the KOA cabins and really enjoyed it as a family; our cabin had two rooms- one room with bunk beds, the other room with a double bed. BRING YOUR OWN BEDDING!

We would recommend this KOA for those who want to stay close to Glacier National Park, and we preferred this KOA over the KOA on the St. Mary side.

Room Tip: Bring your own bedding if staying in a KOA cabin!

With many other options in the area, this is no bargain. Look for non-branded campgrounds. You will pay far less and get much better service. We were so dissapointed by this property we will not use KOA unless no other options are available in the area we want to stay.
