My daughter and I stayed her for three nights during a trip to Glacier National Park. We stayed in one of the attached "log cabin" rooms up on the hill behind the restaurant. The room was simple and clean, with a rustic Montana look. And it was LARGE, which was nice. Since the weather wasn't hot, the lack of AC wasn't an issue as it has been for other reviewers. The train passing a few times a night bothered me the first night, but after that I got used to it. The thin walls, however, I didn't get used to. We could hear our neighbors' voices clearly. Good thing people went to bed fairly early! Except for that, we loved our stay there. Very convenient and comfortable.
I must say a word about the restaurant. It was really tasty, with incredibly friendly wait staff. The huckleberry pie was insanely good. We also tried pie at the Park Cafe on the other side of Glacier National Park, recommended as some of the best pie in the west by Sunset magazine, but Glacier Highland's pie was better by a mile.More
