Description: We welcome you to Glacier National Parks West Entrance as we have welcomed visitors for over sixty years. The restaurant and other West Glacier Mercantile buildings were constructed in 1938 at the junction of the Going to the Sun Road and US Highway 2. We are open mid May thru mid September, serving breakfast lunch and dinner. Our food is all home made, desserts are amazing and staff is exceptional. We are able to accommodate your group whatever the size. We are fully licensed so you may enjoy a cocktail with your meal and we do take out or sack lunches if you prefer to eat "on the fly". Stop in and check out our ice cream cones or huckleberry cream pie!

Quality, quantity and selection for breakfast is great! We were so pleased we went back for dinner a few nights later. Big mistake. Dinner was so disappointing. I highly recommend it for breakfast.

We ate here twice. Both meals were good and a decent value. The staff was very nice and the food good. Excellent huckleberry pie. Really excellent pie. Good gift shop. Sorry we didn't check out the ice cream. The interior is basic but that is ok. Better basic than cutesy or thematic. We both would eat here again.

We had lunch here while visiting Glacier Park. Reading the history of the building (which was in the beginning of the menu) was a great feature. The lodge that you walk through to get to the restaurant is a bonus! It is beautiful and takes you back in time.
The waiter was great and explained anything on the menu. They also had a butternut squash soup that was great. That had many healthy options, which I saw as a plus. The salad with shrimp & a balsamic reduction was delicious. It seemed a little overpriced for lunch and was definitely not an abundance of food. However, it did seem to be high quality.

We had lunch after a hike to Avalanche Lake. I had the club salad which was large and very good. It had nice slices of chicken breast. My wife had a burger and fries which were about average. We each had water to drink which was served from a carafe placed on the table. Appreciated by thirsty hikers! Service was quite fast, efficient and friendly. I thought the prices were quite reasonable considering the limited choices in West Glacier. Total with tax & tip was $23.

I had the turkey dinner and it was exactly what I was looking for. Comfort food. Make sure to try the Huckleberry pie!
