What an awesome park! Gorgeous views, great trails-simply amazing!! Our first day was the first day without Going to the Sun Rd reservations, and the park was quite busy. Regardless, we had a wonderful time!

This is a must see National Park. The beauty is incredible. Going to the Sun Road is a must. Will be crowded, but worth it. Logan Pass at the stop is breathtaking.
No words can explain the purity of Glacier National Park.Going to the Sun Road is a must. I was expecting more anxiety after reading several reviews about the steep drop offs.It wasn't that bad.Just go slow.
Glacier was everything we hoped it would be and more - absolutely stunning. Mountains, waterfalls, bears oh my! You should plan to arrive before 10 am, but we didn't have too long of a line the day we arrived later than that, except for the Sunday of Labor Day weekend! The GTSR can be nerve wracking to drive but my husband did a super job with it. There are many pull outs to stop and enjoy the view. The trails are awesome, something for everyone from beginner to seasoned hikers. We especially enjoyed St. Mary Falls and then on to Virginia Falls. Our favorite "resting" place was Redrocks. Go and experience nature at its finest!
The park is quite beautiful. Unfortunately, we didn’t get great photos as the skies were gray due to wildfires and their smoke. We were lucky enough to spot a grizzly our first afternoon but that was the only wildlife we saw. We enjoyed driving the Road to the Sun. We also took a boat tour on Lake McDonald. Stop at the McDonald Lidge gift shop if you need some souvenirs. We thought the West Glacier side of the park was the prettiest.
We enjoyed Avalanche Lake (includes Trail of Cedars), Grinnell Glacier, and St. Mary Falls trails the most. We also enjoyed Hidden Lake, Aster Park, Running Eagle Falls, and Appistoki Falls trails. We did a scenic raft trip on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River and a Red Bus Tour.
We heartily recommend all of the above.
