We booked the half-day white-water rafting trip over the phone and appreciated that we were told that the rapids would only be class I and II and that it would be a longer trip (3 hours) due to the lower/slower water. Day of was chilly and rainy, so wet suits, booties and rain gear were provided--definitely improved what could have been a trying experience--but our guide Blane was the true champ. He was funny and informative--keeping us laughing as well as intrigued by local history and of course the nature around us. We had a blast on the Class I and II rapids and the three hours flew by. Don't hesitate to book a trip with this crew--and know that if you get Blane you are in for great time!

Late season whitewater rafting offers its own kind of adventure, and we're so glad you got to experience it! Thanks for your detailed September feedback - we'll be sure to share this with Blaine, too.
Cheers,
Courtney

We spent our first day at Glacier National Park as a family (of adults) on the half day white water rafting trip. The guide was great and kept us moving while not killing us in the water. I was surprised that they offer wet suits since this was not mentioned on their website (or I missed it). The rafting was at an easy pace with enough rapids to make it exciting yet not dangerous for our one non swimmer. I would take this same rafting trip again given the opportunity. I loved being out with just the water and the awesome smell of the pines and clean air. Glacier guides set the tone for our week at the park. Thanks!

We love being out on the water, too, and we're so glad to hear our guides set your family up for a great week in the park! Thanks so much for including us in your Glacier National Park vacation plans.

For other guests who might be reading this, wetsuits, booties, and splash gear are always available at no charge for guests. In July and August, it is usually too warm to wear them. But in the spring and fall, wetsuits are sometimes necessary for safety and at other times simply desirable for optimum comfort. It's our job to keep you safe and comfortable, always! And we love our jobs.

Cheers,
Courtney

We added a last minute trip to Whitefish - glad we did. We did the 1/2 day raft and it did not disappoint. The scenery was beautiful, the weather was great. There was 8 of us (including kids) on our raft and we felt secure. Paige was our guide. She answered our questions but didn't really go out of her way to make conversation other than short answers or to critique how crappy she thought we paddled - it was a little ackward! We wished we had Charlie as it seemed his group was having a lot of fun with his interactions with the group. We would go again.

Amazing trip! Thoroughly planned and coordinated to the most minor detail, I had no concerns other than taking it all in. Wonderful guides were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their role and Glacier NP. Long and short options were available other than the first day, but neither was more rewarding than the other regarding views and the overall experience. Would HIGHLY recommend this venture to anyone in decent/good physical shape and a love for the outdoors. Photos do no justice the beauty of this entire trip.

The 5 Day Glacier Challenge definitely tours some of the park's most amazing hikes! We like to offer shorter and options each day, and we agree that this trip is for those hikers in good physical shape. Thank you so much for your feedback!

3 of us from Ohio signed up to backpack with GG primarily for the first time experience and to feel comfortable in grizzly country. We were joined by two other women from Texas. Our group was cohesively physically fit, which was great. JEN was our guide. JEN was spunky! She was informative , so very hard working and a master chef. We hadn’t given much thought to the services that a guide would offer so we were pleasantly surprised. I can’t say enough about Jen’s good natured personality and how all the details that made it special were handled and thought of. The food was amazing ( coffee ready in the morning, no bake cookies served warm, hot tea at night,
But I’m not allowed to say much more about the food— it was always a surprise!) her company delightful and we learned quite a bit about mountain peaks, flowers and plants, animals and the history of GNP. If Jen is assigned to be your guide consider it a blessing and count your lucky stars ! Our dates were Aug 31- sept 3 and our route was Granite Park to Fifty Mountain to Flattop and out Packers Roost . The weather was perfect. We enjoyed the route, although we had hiked the Highline last year. I had requested a different itinerary but they weren’t able to find one that fit our dates. If I have any disappointment it would be that. Hiking out to Packers Roost also wasn’t quite as spectacular as the rest of the hike. But it was mostly downhill...which no one was complaining about lol.
I’d hike with Jen any day! We hope you can too!

Hiking with Jen is always a treat - we're so glad to hear that you and your group had such a positive experience backpacking with her. All of our guides love exploring Glacier's interior and feeding our guest delicious, nutritious meals, too. Thank you sincerely for your detailed review.
Cheers,
Courtney
