I recently had reason to pass through Silver City again for the first time in years, and this was the first place I went to. The food here is outstanding and the menu capitalizes on the restaurant's proximity to fresh, flavorful chilis. If you come here, keep in mind that anything chili-based is the restaurant's strong suit. Both the red and green will knock your socks off, both in terms of flavor and heat. The more standard Tex-Mex fare on the menu is also delicious, but nothing beats the chili dishes followed by a sopapilla with honey. The only complaints I've heard in-person about the food pertain to the fish tacos... but I guess it's Grant County, NM and these guys probably don't have access to tons of fresh fish.
The ambiance is pretty standard for a place like Silver City, and the service is a bit slow-moving for people who are looking to get in and out in a hurry. Expect to spend some time enjoying your meal. No reservations are accepted, so it might be a bit of a pain to get seated during busy times.
