This is a neat little museum in a restored Victorian house. It provides the visitor with a relaxed journey into the history of Silver City and Grant County. Well worth the visit and a stop into their bookstore.

Really wonderful old volunteers. interesting exhibits. Supper adventurous and treacherous stair case. No elevator, but wheelchairs can do bathrooms and ground floor.

The Silver City Museum is housed in a beautiful old building that once served as the fire station. It's right downtown, a few blocks off the main street on a well landscaped and shady lot. It houses ever changing exhibits of local history illustrated with photos and artifacts from its permanent collection, as well as special exhibits created around specific themes. It's a most pleasant way to get to know this area, its history and traditions.
