“Great little museum”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

We spend an hour in this small but attractive museum. They have a scavanger hunt for children and the docents are very good in telling stories and information giving. We were wondering how the great ditch came in existence in the city, it didn't look like a dried up riverbed and here in the museum it is explained. Of course the mining history has a part in the museum as well. Nice little museum shop with some different than usual items.

“Changing Exhibits”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

Silver City Museum delights with history and changing exhibits. There is an ice cream social on the 4th of July, and musical performances. The building on the Historical Registry and has a history of its own.

“Wonderful museum in a fabulous old home”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Even if you don't like small town museums, this one is unique - and the building itself is worth the stop... beautiful! The people working there were friendly and helpful and it is walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in the historic district.

“A VERY NICE MUSEUM”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

A great side visit if you are in Silver City. The main street is wonderful, with the old Crystal Palace Hotel on the corner and unfortunately like so many main streets, many stores are vacant . The museum has some very nice exhibits and is located just off the main street. Nearby are some very old and beautiful homes from the 1800's
