Incredible! I'd make the drive from Albuquerque every week if I could. Duck in rose pedal preserves was awesome. Pate du jour made my mouth do a happy dance.

We live over two hours away from Silver City, but at least once a year we make the pilgrimage to this wonderful restaurant. What a surprise to find a world quality restaurant in this quaint, way off the beaten track town. Not only is the food superb, but the chef (Stephen) almost always comes to the table to chat, and the waiter is both friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the food and the beers and wines. I really appreciate that the owners have created a menu that is accessible to the average budget in this economically depressed area. Diners can choose between several affordable tapas, the mid priced mezzos or the large, more expensive entrees. The extensive wine and beer list also offers a wide price range. This place is so special that we have made a point of taking our dearest, and most food savvy friends to this restaurant. I have never had a disappointing meal at Sheveks.

We have eaten here several times. Shevek and Co are delightful. We had Chef Shevek's suggestions for dinner-6 tapas sized portions. The artichoke salad and the fillet of sole were my favorites. And then there is dessert. I got their version of flan-devine. Wait staff very efficient and knowledgable about wine pairings.

We were so happy to find this upscale restaurant in this small charming town .

They have three choices of size , and I must say that was a plus for us .

We ordered 5 small portions to share , and it was wonderful .

Wish I could go back every week !

Delightful, unexpected dining in a small, quaint town. The menu organized in tapas, mezzo and entree portions allowed us to sample several dishes by ordering the tapas portions and feel entirely sated at the end of a special meal. Combinations such as calamari with a subtle chili sauce delighted the senses with intriguing flavors, textures and a beautiful presentation. The most difficult part of dining may be choosing what to eat out of the many offerings. Kudos to the chef for his/her creativity. Prices seemed reasonable for what was delivered. And ordering the tapas portions makes the final bill much more reasonable. Great wine selection. Waiter was pretentious, but sincere.
