“Excellent service, location, rooms, food!”

Have stayed here at least five times since 2003 and have never had a bad experience. Had Deluxe King with partial city view which was spacious and quiet. As others remarked, easy access to subway either to Manhattan or other parts of NYC. I use Dial 7 car service to and from airport, and this time used Harbor View car service from Bay Ridge (my old neighborhood) back to the hotel at night. Now that Barclays Center opened the hotel is perfect for a weekend stay to see the Nets or a show but if you don't want to take a subway back to the hotel book with a car service in advance. Main restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch (latter only Mon-Fri) but bar food is first rate, and Montague restaurants are nearby. Have rebooked for November so as to attend an Anniversary dinner!

Room Tip: Ask for high floor, quiet room. Mine was 1903 and even though it was closer to the ice machine and t...

Hotel clean, comfortable, convenient and busy at times.
The rooms are typical of what you get at Marriott. Comfortable with lounge chairs and comfy beds. face it, whose going to spend all day in their room in Brooklyn when you should be out walking the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan.A good 30 minute walk from hotel to ground zero, longer if you stop regularly to enjoy the spectacle and take photos.
Opposite the hotel an behind the Supreme Court building is Court St and Montague St. These would be the main two streets with restaurants, bars and convenience stores. Montague St will take you down to river where you gain a spectacular view of the bridge and financial district of Manhattan.
Service in the hotel good and helpful.
Wi-Fi is very weak and ordinary and I really don't know why the Marriott offers free wi-fi that is useless. I believe a good signal can be found at the Burger King down from the hotel.
Breakfast buffet leaves a lot to be desired.
Happy to answer questions re this hotel to the best of my ability!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the inside aspect of the hotel. Unless you like the noise of sirens and garbage tr...

Stayed 1 night as we were in town to see Jay Z at the Barclays Ctr 9/28. Arrived around 1 pm & was able to check in right away. King room, spacious very clean (past my extensive bed bug check!) close to metro, can easily get cabs. Barclays ctr was 10$ cab ride- though very difficult to get cab after the show and had to take metro back to hotel. Panera & other quick lunch spots nearby. Ate at hotel restaurant Archives for dinner. Ate at the bar, very accommodating bartender (wish I got his name) made me a delicious espresso martini. Food was surprisingly good for hotel restaurant which we typically avoid. Would def visit this hotel again.

I stayed at this hotel while in Brooklyn for work. The checkin process was arduous, with the person helping me checking airline lists and lots of other places for rooms. They did not have any king beds left and I don't understand why they let you book a king room and then give it away (classic Seinfeld episode: "We have your car reservation, we just don't have your car).
I did get lounge access and the view alone was worth the visit. I was also there on 9/11 and saw the towers of light, which was special.
The room decor was a little dated and some of the bathroom fixtures were loose and pitted. The whole place could use a little sprucing up.

Room Tip: Go for a higher floor.

Brooklyn, within walking distance of the Brooklyn Bridge: it could be worse. The Hotel is a little bit dated but the reception was cool and friendly. Room was not wat I expected as a Marriott customer but it was ok and clean. Very personnal service at breakfast gave us that typical home feeling we always experience in Marriott hotels. Too expensive for what you get, but this is New York

We stayed here recently for my sister's wedding which was located nearby at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It turned out to be the perfect hotel for most of us who flew in with large families.

The hotel was able to quickly check-in most of us out-of-towners. The rooms were clean and large with 2 double beds and a fold out couch. It had all the usual amenties including an ipod station/alarm clock. The lobby level had a large 'quiet lounge room' which served as a perfect meeting spot for our families. Right next to it was the bar which also served food late. The hotel also had a restaurant/buffet which worked out nicely for our families to meet for breakfast. During the day we were able to walk to many casual dining spots including Shake Shack and to the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park. The hotel was also able to readily access multiple taxis and car service for us to get around.

My only complaint is that on the last morning of check-out we lost all use of water...shower, toilet, sink. This occurred in multiple rooms as they were working on something. However, they did make another room available for us to use and discounted a small portion of the bill.

This is the second time I have visited this hotel and have always enjoyed it. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming, the parking convenient and prompt and the food at the breakfast buffet is pricey but is well worth it. The selection at the breakfast buffet is plentiful and they always restock items as needed. Don't miss the fresh waffles!.

The room was spotless and the bed was soft and the comforter was perfect, soft and warm and you can just sink into the bed. It's great for a perfect nights sleep. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Room Tip: Good Value if you can get a package room
