I was in the mood for Mexican but decided on the pulled pork sandwich and it was so tasty, very juicy and the cole slaw salad that came with it was wonderful. Brent the bartender was fun and let me try a margarita and it was better than most I have had. I'm not a lime fan but everyone around me was loving them.

For a Tex-Mex restaurant, Lobo has fantastically mediocre food. And this is mediocre in a city that is famous for having pretty consistently lousy Tex-Mex. But the restaurant is adorable (cow skulls on the wall, leather banquettes, bustling bar) and is actually a great place for brunch -- absolutely best buttermilk pancakes in Park Slope.
Every Sunday afternoon, there are regulars doing the Times crossword puzzle and drinking fresh lime juice margaritas at the bar. Chips are warm and the salsas quite good. So, in summary, as odd as this may sound, I think the perfect day at Lobo would be having brunch and then hanging out the bar, drinking and snacking on chips,

I moved to New York City from San Diego and was dismayed by the general suckyness of Mexican food in the Big Apple. Then I finally found Lobo on 5th ave, but I think there is another location as well. The margaritas are gigantic and tasty, plus the food is really good. If you're looking to spend more and sit down, this is your place, though if you want a quick taco, look elsewhere.

Def a fan of this Tex-Mex spot. The portions are bit large and heavy but the fresh juice (including mango and passion fruit) margaritas make up for it! They are delicious!
