Long lasting local neighborhood British Pub in Brooklyn. Located on Atlantic Avenue way before it became a trendy area and tourist route to Brooklyn Bridge Park. Not fancy or elegant, nor is it meant to be. If you are looking for gourmet food this is not the place. Seriously a pub food menu. Enjoyable pub atmosphere. Can be very crowded for sport events especially futball tournaments.

My personal favorites are the Scotch Eggs, Fish and Chips, Chicken Fingers and Chicken Curry. Truly Brit style. Can also get Bangers and Mash and the rarely found Ploughmans Lunch. The chalk boards always indicate the specials of the day. Their Root veggies are good.

The portions are large so sometimes I will order two appetizers instead of a full meal. The soups are good but unfortunately they do not serve cup portions. I find that a full soup and entree to be overwhelming.

Im italian. My mom used the same pot of oil over and over and all the favors were infused in the oil and the food fried also took in some of the flavors. I love fish & chips in the U.K. especially from the midlands where the fish flavor is in the chips. Chip Shop in Brooklyn has found a special place in my heart.

The fish / shrimp and chips are tasty and the portions generous. Good beer and cider choices. Service is friendly but a little inconsistent. Definitely worth a stop if you are bar hopping downtown on Atlantic Ave or like better then average fish and chips. The decor is cool also, it's what you imagine a British pub would be like if you were designing one for a TV show.

The place offers good fish and chips plus some British pub fare in a very whimsical setting. Lots of beer choices and a kids menu, too! There are many TV's for soccer.

We came upon this place as we were walking from the Pier. Came for fish and chips but got the Hangover Cure instead. The British Breakfast was cooked perfectly. The Bloody Mary is worth the trip. Great service. British decorations, tiny place with soccer on the TV. Great Sunday Brunch.
