My partner and I were here yesterday; we had a friend who had never been to NYC before. We knew of Graziella's because Ted Allen had featured the arugala pizza on an episode of "the Best THing I Ever Ate" on the Food Network. Graziella's is in the Ft. Greene/Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn. It's definitely a place to go if you want to get away from the touristy or pretentious restaurants in Manhattan.
We had the arugala pizza and our friend had a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The pizzas were made to order and baked in their wood-fired oven. The pizzas were sublime. While placing arugala on a pizza seems simple, for some reason, it elevates the pizza to a marvelous gastronomic experience.
In addition to the food, our server, Hannah, was another great find here. She was genuinely affable and gregarious and made us feel welcome from the moment we came in. My partner and I are thinking about moving to NYC and Hannah gave us great insight into the neighborhood ( she lives in the Ft. Greene/Clinton Hill area). We felt that we made a friend.
So, head out to Graziella's if you're in NYC. You'll find good food and a warm welcome. You may not want to leave.

Ate dinner on the rooftop patio and loved it. Wine was great, prosciutto margherita pizza was incredible and the sausage and broccoli rabe pasta was great! The rooftop provides a great atmosphere and the service was polite. The food came out very quick as well.

Our son & his wife moved to Brooklyn and we looked for someplace to eat between their apartment and our hotel. Are we glad we found Graziella's! I love pesto, and it's become somewhat hard to find if you don't eat chicken. I got the Orecchiette Pesto and I loved it! We each got a different pasta and they were all delicious. Very reasonably priced too. The rooftop dining was an added plus, we could see the Chrysler building in Manhattan from our table. Looking forward to another visit in the fall.
