“Great Place for Drinks and Smaller Plates”

Super Garden patio when the weather is nice but also really on a cold winter day. Drink specials are always fun and the food menu changes frequently. A must try for any out of town folks as well as those in the hood

“A jem in Williamsburg”
Reviewed July 8, 2008

Sitting on a corner down Wythe ave. is NitaNita. We found our way there on a Thursday night. Though opened less than a year, this place has the feel of a neighborhood icon. The kind of place you gravitate back to after you hit the so called latest and greatest. There is a sense of gravity pulling you off the street and into the place with its raw cedar topped bar, tables and benches. That “this feels right” vibe circulates all around you. Chalk it up to Sam (the owner) and her crew who make it all seem easy. Eclectic is an overused adjective however it is apt. From the décor & libations, to the patrons & the food. Ah, the food. It seems anyone with a kitchen & some tables is serving Tapas now a days. Few do it this well. Some of the must try menu items include the smashed sweet potatoes & chorizo (this dish is insane, try it even if you don’t like sweet potatoes), sautéed greens and the spice crusted beef. We started with the cheese board delux (5 yr old gouda… tasty) and a weisse beer at the bar. We then moved to a table outside and continued the feast with a few bottles of Spanish red. This place is definitely worth crossing the bridge for and we plan on doing so many more times.
