I've been to The Good Fork about a half dozen times and always had a good meal there. The prices are decent, the portions are on the small side, but the food is fresh and well prepared. The drinks are excellent, the ambiance delightful, and service wonderful.

I chose to celebrate my birthday with a few close friends at this cozy little restaurant. The blood orange margaritas were divine, as were the famous dumplings we ordered as appetizers. The main dishes were incredible: diver scallops over beet risotto, roast chicken, and rack of lamb, all served by our charming waitress who made us feel like a welcome guest in her own home. We somehow managed to find room for key lime pie (with birthday candle, of course). I plan to return and try out the garden seating before the weather gets too cold.

I am a regular dinner at the restaurant with my partner. This is one of the few restaurants were high food quality and value come together in one location. Moreover, the high food quality has really been maintained over the years. Additionally, the wait staff really knows how to treat you special-- they are responsive and laid back at the same time.
I would recommend the duck and specialized cocktails-- try the red hook cooler on a hot afternoon to get back in the right frame of mind.

Tip-- get there early if you want a great seat-- tends to get crowded after 7PM

"you can spend more on gourmet food in NYC, but why bother when you have consistently high quality food in the fork"

Pros= Great food and value, and great service easy parking and close to fairway
Con- Small restaurant, wish the backyard was expanded

While the Good Fork is set in a rather hard to access part of Brooklyn, the food is well worth going for again and again. Delectable American fare with a Korean flair, atmosphere is simultaneously cozy and lively, service friendly and welcoming. Plus, great caipirinhas!
