Chimu has been a long time favorite of mine... The food never disappoints. The Cheviche is on point-- made the with lime and loaded with seafood. The Sangria is very flavorful. The plaintains are always crispy. And the steak is always made to perfection. The desserts are average but after chowing down on all the good eats, I never have room anyway.

From what I have seen, there seems to be little turn over with the wait staff, so you often get the same friendly waitress or waiter...

The prices are very reasonable for what you get! I can't say enough positive things about this place! I highly recommend it.

Nice small latin restaurant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Excellent skirt steak, fresh seafood and great sauces. Had dinner with a latin girl who suggested the place so you know it's gotta be good!! Perfect portions and reasonable pricing. Restaurant was fairly crowded at night for dinner and was somewhat on the noisy side. Noticed parking in street only. Either way I would definitely go back again for the delicious carne.

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed the skirt steak "Entraña", the Jalea
"(personal) crispy calamary, shrimp, white fish, mussels topped with bermuda onions, yellow peppers, juliane and lime juice", Ceviche Mixto and the "Lomo Saltado de Pollo o Carne sliced chicken sauteed with tomatoes, onions, and fries served with white rice." My Jalea was so good I didn't even sample the other dishes! Moist, rich and very flavorful!!!! One negative was that the sound system was too loud. I'll probably ask them to lower it next time or at least try to find the quietest table. But the bottom line is that we had four excellent meals. Well worth the trip!!!
