Not only a beautiful setting with great views of the Manhattan skyline, but also a good place for genealogical research. Staff assistance was superb and made our visit worthwhile, even though we could not find great-grandpa!

I never knew Green-Wood when I lived in New York, but I hang out with my friend in Green-Wood this Christmas. If you have a good friend or someone who can starts a nice deep conversation, this is a perfect place. Remember, the reason that I say Green-Wood is awesome might be different from other sightseeing. Because this is a place for yourself, and someone you trust, you love, or you appreciate

This is a true highlight for anyone interested in more than the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Yadda Yadda Yawn Yawn. Not that these aren't interesting but the experience from a cemetery with 200 years of history can't be trumped by a sole less building in Manhattan. The tour guide really had a passion for the history of the place and really bought it to life - no pun intended. Thoroughly recommended if you want to get off the tourist roundabout and see some of the real NY. 5 Stars.

A great tour led by a wonderful tour guide who knew her history of the cemetery. We took the trolley tour since it was very cold outside. Interesting stories about how Greenwood began.
The stories of some of the people interred there was fascinating.
