One of the worst steaks I ever ate, and I'm trying not to exaggerate. Cold Antipasto not much better, but at least edible. Old outdated decor, service was fair at best. Despite what other wrote, not like Lugers in the least.

I live in Southern Brooklyn and this place is one of my favorite restaurants in the Borough. If you are looking for a "Peter Lugers" style meal, but don't feel like driving up to Williamsburg (or more likely can't get a last minute reservation at PL's) this is always a sure thing. Although the prices are a little high, the food is good. The steak for two is one of their specialties and the potato pie is a favorite you have to try! There are two dining rooms here, you want to sit in the main dining room. The second, smaller room, is tiny and cramped. The clientele is definately "Brooklyn" all the way and if you are not someone who likes loud conversation this is not your place. I have never had a bad experience at Embers, for as many times as I have been there over the years. Since they are in Bay Ridge, there is a valet for your car, since parking is a nightmare especially on weekend evenings. Go early and sit at the bar for a pre-dinner drink. Always a good time.
