We have been back to this restaurant many times for many reasons. The staff are always charming and helpful. The food is simple and executed very well with local produce. And finally the atmosphere is great in warm or cold weather, with a lovely outdoor seating area for the summer, and cosy indoor seating all year round.

They do a particularly good deal Monday - Thursday with the Market Menu which is three courses and the choice of adding wine paring for a very reasonable price.

This small New American restaurant on Union Street serves a seasonal menu that is not extensive, but quite tasty. Each meal there has been most enjoyable.

Went for dinner with friends. Fortunately we had reservations...a must here. Place is small and seating tight. The food was very good. The duck was fabulous! The fried cheese appetizer a winner too. Although packed, service was fine and dishes arrived hot and beautifully presented.I can see why people with children would have a difficult time here. Some places just aren't for kids.

Rosewater has been in Park Slope for 12 or 13 years. It has gotten consistently better with age and is quite possibly the best overall restaurant experience in the area. A very recent visit prompts me to give them a great review which they deserve

The menu changes seasonally and always features 6 to 7 mains, all of which would make me very happy. Appetizers seem to be more consistent but are equally great taste wise.

On our recent visit we had pork belly and fried goat cheese appetizers and the chicken, smoked duck and striped bass mains. All four of us said we were having a party in our mouths. They do a
great job in developing complex tastes. The wine list is competent if not spectacular and no more price abusive than other comparable places (a pet peeve of mine).

All the mains are in the $20-30 range most of the time, very strong value. Food of this quality would be substantially more across the river.

Because the restaurant is small, generally not cramped however, reservations are definitely in order. The staff is professional and pleasant.

Enjoy!

I like being able to sit outside and the Rose Water has nice patio seating. The menu with the food/wine pairings was very well done and was also a good value. Service was very good with a minute taken with each wine to explain it without a long essay. I will go there again next time I am in Brooklyn.
