I thought NY would have Cheesy pizza's just like the ninja turtle movies... but every pizza place I went to was a disappointment :( The pizza here taste great, but its just pizza haha.. One cool thing to look out for in this place.. is the demonic Pizza guy statute and also look at how the water starts cloudy and then clears up hahahahahahaha This made this place worth while :) bathroom smelt like mildew (6 rating)

Our party of nine was starved after local stroll and rides on nearby Jane's Carousel, so we hoofed it to iconic Grimaldi's to put on the 'feed bag'. No line waiting outside, so we just ambled in, only to be challenged and 'thrown out' to wait until tables were ready. Shortly after, we were welcomed warmly to be led to our table in a cozy upstairs corner. Pizza was terrific...thin crust, fresh toppings, and house-made mozzarella. Beware: cash only; no credit cards accepted here.

Stood in line for 20 minutes prior to this local legend/landmark's opening with expectations of the best pizza in the world. The meal got off to a rocky start when unbeknownst to us on one side of the building was a tour bus dropping off a large group ahead of us. That said, when we finally got in, we got a traditional, thin crust with cheese, mushrooms, sausage and tomatoes. It was very good but hardly something I would characterize as the best in the world or even city. Be warned to, they take only cash and their "small" pizza easily filled the two of us with leftover slices.

Quite honestly the best pizza I have ever had in my life! Worth queuing outside for and totally worth the wait! Exceptional!

The inside of the restaurant isn't anything special, and it's a little crowded and loud. You'll also most likely have to wait in line for a little while. Is it worth it? Absolutely. There aren't many authentic coal oven pizzerias to be found anymore, and this one is great.
I'm picky when it comes to pizza, and this is the best I've had.
