“Delicious Mexican food in a cozy environment with gorgeous view of NYC.”
Reviewed November 3, 2012 via mobile

The three of us walked to Alma from Cobble Hill last month because we had a serious craving for Mexican food. We thought we were in the wrong place because we walked into a very lively bar scene. It was tempting to stay at the bar because it had a lot of energy and people having a great time. We walked outside and entered Alma from the side street. Alma: warm lighting, cozy, friendly, romantic. The food: comforting, Mexican with a slight Thai influence. An amazing view. My salmon was perfect slathered in an refreshing tomatoe and onion sauce. The chicken fajitas my buddy from Texas ordered equally amazing, my vegan girlfriend loved the chili rellenos. A relaxing evening surrounded by great views, music, and delicious food. If you are in the area-make it a point to checki it out. Super chill - super good. Hang downstairs after dinner. Yummy food yummy bar scene.

“Not Bad”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

We were mainly going for the view and thought we'd have no problem getting one on a Monday night. WRONG!. We had to wait maybe 1/2 an hour to get a seat up top. We were the only people in line. So not a lot of seats to be had and no one's in a hurry to leave. Regardless we were seated and ordered our food. The first dish my wife got was the wrong thing all together. Had to send it back and wait again. When we finally got our food it was good. Not disappointed but not impressed. The view was worth it though.

“Amazing view”
Reviewed June 25, 2012

Alma serves up affordable tasty mexican fare and well made (if not a bit small) cocktails. But the real draw is the unparalleled views of Manhattan from the roof deck. Brunch is recommended over dinner. Try the chilaquiles, the tortas, and the made-fresh guacamole.

“Great Mexican Restaurant”
Reviewed June 20, 2012

When Pok Pok had a line down the street at 6PM, we went here (1/2 block away) and were not disappointed. Although there was a wait for the rooftop, we ate inside and the atmosphere was still very good. The food was very good, especially the flank steak and chicken mole. Recommended.
