Description: Welcome to Juliana's, a New York-style pizzeria. Juliana's heralds the return of Patsy Grimaldi-not only to the NYC restaurant scene, but to the original location under the Brooklyn Bridge where he co-founded Grimaldi's Pizzeria with his late wife, Carol. Unbeknownst to many, Pat & Carol severed their affiliation with Grimaldi's in 1999 when they sold the business (along with the name). Even though they were no longer involved in the restaurant, they never lost their passion for serving truly great pizza. And so, with a desire to re-live a "dream come true", they have partnered with close friend and former guest Matthew Grogan to establish Juliana's, a neighborhood pizzeria, preparing and serving pies the way Patsy has for generations. Named in honor of Pat's mother, Maria 'Juliana' Lancieri, Juliana's occupies 19 Old Fulton Street, in the Fulton Ferry Historic District, in the building that was once home to Grimaldi's.

Great pizza. Original was good and the service was the best. We even ordered a salad and then another white pizza with garlic and cheese. Very good pizza. Wish we had this thin crust in Ohio. Guess I will have to visit NYC again and see Juliana's.

Tomato sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms and basil--all fresh on top of a perfectly baked crust. This pizza won't leave you feeling over stuffed or sick from greasy cheese. The wait staff was friendly and our order brought to us very quickly. We will return!

We were told to go early and we arrived just before 12. We were seated immediately and ordered the margarita pizza and two beers. The food arrived quickly and we were impressed. The base is thin and the toppings were fresh and tasty.

We did not try Grimaldi's so we can't compare, but so far we are on Team Juliana.

We spent an afternoon in brooklyn and were so glad we were told that this was the original grimaldi restaurant owners. We were seated almost immediately and our waitress was lovely. I am not a huge pizza fan but these pizzas was delish. The base was light and thin and had great taste. They limit their toppings to three of four and the pizzas were not greasy like most we have tried over various holidays. They are pricey in terms of pizzas but they were huge, enough to fill three adults. As we were leaving we met patsy grimaldi and their was know a line. Yum!
