“Fantastic food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013 via mobile

Five of us had dinner and a couple of bottles of red wine. We started with the avocado fries which were a must. I had one of the ribs options on the menu, the meat fell of the bone as soon as I tried to pick it up, they were delicious. A couple of others had the steak which was equally as tasty. All really good quality meat and the sides compliment it well. Great atmosphere, the only downer was the waitress who was a bit rude. Definitely worth a visit!

“Fantastic food in a cosy garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013

We ended up at El Almacen after trying to get into St Anselm where they were announcing 2.5h waiting for 4 people...

El Almacen was actually a great choice! We ended dining in the small garden at the back of the restaurant which was really nice. The service was very good and their wine list affordable.
We went for the steaks and there again no disappointment ! My friend and I shared a Porter House and the other 2 got Shell Steaks. Perfectly cooked as per our requests, the truffle fries were the cherry on the cake!

FYI they don't take reservations under 6 diners.
Would really recommend and definitely go again!

“Great Meat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

We had a dinner for four in the backyard. The meat was great at a good price with good wine and great service. Very nice restaurant for meat lovers.

“We loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

Had meetings in NYC and took a side trip to Brooklyn to check out the Brooklyn Winery. While there they recommned El Almacen for dinner. We were eating a little early so it wasn't all that crowded for a Friday night. Great waitress recommended a fantastic bottle of wine and I had steak, wife had seafood and it was off the charts delicious.

We will definitely make the trip back to Brooklyn to eat there next time we are in NYC.

Total bill for wine, and two meals was roughly $100 which I though was great for NY.

“Great food every time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

Be sure to visit El Almacen (Argentina)when you are in Williamsburg ,Brooklyn, NY. All of their dishes are flavorful:empanadas, steak, fish, brussel sprouts, and the flan served with caramel on the side is to die for. Their entre portions are just right, not too big and not to small. They are open for dinner at 5pm during the week and on the weekends at 12 pm. The staff is sweet.

Location is Driggs Ave, corner of North 7th Street.
