Great beers in a disappointing environment - destroyed by the music being far far too loud and distorted on my Sunday afternoon visit. Maybe it's a deliberate ploy to create table churn at busy times? Beer served very cold, in plastic cups. You can purchase a proper glass for 3 beer tokens but I'll take the three beers in a plastic cup over an empty glass! I recommend the no1 beer, very easy drinking inspite of the 9% abv.
Would I go again? Probably not, Should you go? If you love beer why not?

Thank Aunty B

I haven't been to the tour but always just for drinks mostly before dinner. Great fresh beer on tap, con sometimes very long waiting lines. PS When you done here, go get some BBQ at Mable's down the street.

I went here for the free afternoon tour and was impressed. The tour is relatively short with no free sampled but the tasting house is great. A converted warehouse with a great atmosphere and a selection of their ales. It's about 30 min by metro from Manhattan and is a nice break from the packed New york bars. $5 a drink or 5 for $20 makes it worth while.

We came for the Friday night visit - no tours on a Friday night, just a chance to drink the beers in a great convivial environment at their brewery in an excellent part of Williamsburg. Open 6pm - 11pm, you grab a communal table in their tasting area and pay for your beer tokens (5 beers for $20 or $5 per beer). They have a good selection on tap and a number of bottled options. The environment is really friendly. We were in Manhattan from Australia and just happened to sit next to a Kiwi couple on their honeymoon. It gets really busy but it's really a fun environment. No real substantial food on sale but they allow you to bring food in and there is usually a food truck parked outside. When we finished, we ended up walking the short distance down to the East River Ferry Terminal and got the ferry back across to Manhattan, which was a fabulous thing to do at night (great views). We then got a cab back to our hotel once we were across the river. Easy.

Did the 2 hour tour.

Big shout out to Tim, a great tour guide/host!

Interesting talk about the brewing process and how to create different types of beer.

The history and background of the brewery was extremely informative.

Those who complain about the lack of wine are idiotic. It's a brewery!
