“Takes your breath away”

The view is pretty much picture-postcard. It's perfect. I went during the day and took it all in. I spent ages just looking and watching things go by. Grab a coffee and just sit. The sounds of the city, the view and the fresh air.. A real experience!

I imagine this place is so great in the summer! That's when I plan on seeing this place next! Sitting on the grass with Manhattan as the view.. So cool!

Go and enjoy

“Most Awesome View!”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

Don't be afraid to walk the bridge at night and fumble your way to this destination. The directions to and fro are quite cumbersome. We walked and then took the A train back to Manhattan. There is a subway one block from the bridge near the long walk to the exit of the bridge.

“Best view of Manhattan”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

This IS the view of the city. You are close enough to see it all but far enough so you can't see the detail. The Brooklyn Bridge to the north north, Governors Island to the south and Lower Manhattan straight ahead.

“Great Views of the Skyline”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

After a stroll through the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, this is a great view of the other side of the river. You can see the Statue of Liberty as well as the South St Seaport and all of lower Manhattan. You can stroll down to pick up the fairy to Williamsburg to prolong a great day of Brooklyn exploration.

“Best place to watch the city from across the river.”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Perfect spot to take great pictures in the evening and enjoy a stroll up and down the promonade. Best way to do it is take the subway to Clark street from there it is a 5 minutes walk passed the most beautiful houses Brooklyn Heights has to offer. We always take teh MTA there and then walk back across the bridge and take the subway again when needed at cityhall. Think this is one of the best NYC thing to do. And $25 cheaper then the empire state building (which is also a must do when in NYC)
