An interesting antique carousel from 1922 with 48 wooden horses and more.

All packed in a building made out of glass with great views.

A beautifull restoration of the 1922 Carousel and is now located in the Water Front Park in DUMBO Brooklyn. A very nice piece of attraction. There is a small nice park infront of the Carousel for visitors to enjoy water, flower, and the Carousel. Nice piece of antique and is still in function.

I guess they do not want to make a little more profit. How an attraction in a heavily trafficked area closes at 6pm is beyond me! And when they mean they close as 6pm they really mean 5:30pm.

People work, tourists want to enjoy the night view of the city, etc. The fact that they close down at 6pm is beyond me!

This beautifully restored carousel is a delightful ride. The calliope has been restored to excellent condition. The surroundings are amazing! The carousel is in a giant glass box and situated beneath/adjacent to the Brooklyn Bridge and East River. It is easy to get to it via subway and ferry. Fun for children and adults (you don't have to go with a child).

This antique carousel is just a beautiful marvel. The carousel is well maintained and is SET within an enclosure of glass folding doors. Many couples use the carousel as a backdrop for their wedding pictures. The collage of colors and lights about the carousel makes the ambience light, lively and festive. The price to ride the carousel is just $2 so that everyone can enjoy the experience of riding on a carousel. My 8 year old grandson remarked that the length of time the carousel rode for $2 was an outstanding VALUE. The Jane Carousel sits along the East River in Brooklyn under the Brooklyn Bridge. The VIEW from the carousel is magnificent. As you ride around in a circular motion, you will see the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory surrounding grounds, the Manhattan Bridge, the Brooklyn Bridge archways, Manhattan Piers, ferries, water taxis, and the tall buildings at the base of Manhattan in the Financial District. All ages will enjoy this carousel whether they ride or sit on the benches.
