Owner description: Dumbo, an acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It encompasses two sections: one located between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, which connect Brooklyn to Manhattan across the East River, and another that continues east from the Manhattan Bridge to the Vinegar Hill area.

What a pleasant spot in New York, as time goes by this area will really hum.
The only drawback is the constant noise from the Metro trains on Manhattan Bridge.

I love Dumbo! On a summer's day when the sun is hot I love going and lying in the park, watching the activity on the Hudson/East River, look over to the Manhattan Skyline and grab an ice cream from the nearby ice cream factory (the chocolate flavour is delicious). They even have movies screening there during the summer nights!

We walked around DUMBO after walking the bridge, having lunch, and walking the park. There are small local shops and restaurants and I love the cobblestone streets and old city feel, but this was a one time spot for me. It's cute, but aside from stopping in 1 candy store we didn't feel the need to go into any shops or anything. We enjoyed the views as went from A to B and then moved on. I actually prefer the Village in Manhattan.

Great views, wonderful photography opportunities, lovely shops and just fun. Make sure to see the carousel. Some weekends they have lots of food vendors who set up in the park which wow the food was spectacular. Must do/see.

Went to check out dumbo with my husband and six year old child. Lots of space to run and play. Quaint cobblestone streets. Best chocolate shop - Jacques Torres. Best almond croissant at Almondine bakery. No complaints!
